SUMMARY OF DROITWICH POOL WINTER LEAGUE

All matches for the winter league will be played under the new Ultimate International Pool Rules which are published on our website and a copy is available to see in your pub clip board box.

The league format will be 8 singles & 3 Scotch Doubles (with shot clock). 3 points for a match win and 1 point for each frame won.

Any player can play up to 2 Singles games and 1 Doubles game in one match in any order of the match sheet.

A fixture list will be published together with a 16 October start date  and a 13 June end date for the league.

There is a £50 team entrance fee to be paid but no other costs will be required.

There is no need to register your players, they will be registered when their name appears on the match sheet.

Any player can only play for one team during the winter season, although one transfer per player may be granted with the permission of the chairman.

There will be cup & player competitions held during the winter season. The Winter cup will be best of 11 frames (first to six frames) and the Spring cup will be 8 singles & 3 Doubles (first to 6 frames) with all doubles games being scotch doubles.

There will be trophies awarded to competition winners but no prize money payouts at the end of the winter season.

Any team home or away are requested to photograph the completed match sheet as soon as the match finishes and post the picture on the What’s App results group.

If no picture is received then both teams will be awarded 0 points for that match.

There will be blank laminated match sheets and dry wipe pen in the clip board box and a few blank paper match sheets will also be available in your pub folder.
